This Victorian-era retreat in the park's southern portion opened in the late 1800s when, like today, the hotel hosted guests who explored Mariposa Grove sequoias and hike to Chilnualna Falls. The Wawona also is a place to enjoy a meal, relax on the veranda and play on the only golf course located inside a U.S. National Park.
