This traditional necklace is made with a variety of pre contact materials such as brain-tanned leather with red ochre staining, dogbane string, abalone drops and clamshell beads, with jadeite from local sources. Handcrafted by Native American artisan, Carson Bates, of the Tuolumne Miwok tribe.
